What a suprise to find the Parc Güell a seething mass of queues. Sincé last September 2014 the Gaudi Monumental Zone is no longer has free public Access. It´s 8 euro to get in but by far the worst bit is trying to get a ticket.
The ticket queue was 200 yards long with several hundred people waiting but they only allow in 400 people per hour. So after queueing for your ticket you have to join another queue elsewhere to gain Access. A disasterous example of popularity destroying the experience.
On the plus side it´s created dozens of new Jobs because the stupid & pointless ticket machines require people to assist confused & disgruntled visitors.
The Sargrada Familia is still a building site with cranes towering over the towers - I don´t think the Spanish will everfinish it.
